Solar Farm project website
Island Green Power, a leading developer of renewable energy projects is developing a new solar farm on land at Pasture Farm, north of Welby, within South Kesteven, Lincolnshire.
Solar power is an increasingly important way in which the UK transitions away from fossil fuels to using a clean, predictable and secure source of renewable energy. It is set to play a significant role in meeting Lincolnshire’s future energy needs with the potential that this site will make a substantial contribution.

Planning Granted
Our solar project design process includes listening to local people and refining plans based on the feedback of those who live nearby with community groups, stakeholders and local policy makers during the consultation phase, before the planning application is submitted.
Planning permission for Welby Solar Farm was approved 6th February 2025 by committee, subject to conditions and the project is now moving into pre-construction phase.
We will continue to engage with stakeholders as the project progresses.
